The
goat
should

fat

thin,

signs
of
illness.
The
animal’s
coat
should
be
free
from
any
dirt,
dust,
hay,
or
shavings.
It
should
be
trimmed
only
to
accentuate
breed
specifications.
The
undercoat
should
be
combed
out
un1ess
the
climate
or
season
precludes
this.
Hooves
should
be
trimmed
evenly
so
the
feet
stand
squarely
on
the
ground.
The
face
should
be
cleaned
with
special
attention
to
eyes
and
nostrils.
The
ears
should
be
clean.
The
tail
should
be
cleaned
of
all
fecal
matter,
stickiness,
or
matting
from
discharge.
Hooves
should
be
free
from
fecal
matter,
bedding,
and
accumulated
dirt.
